Gordes & Fontaine de Vaucluse

europe_franceWe pass by Isle sur la Sorge strolling through the tiny and no so interesting downtown area; then we head towards the much more famous’ Fontaine de Vaucluse, a tourist trap even in winter…We refuse to stay there for the night so we move to Gordes. This village is one of the most beautiful of the area and although it is equally touristy, it is not to be missed.

Polylimnio, tropical Greece


polylimnioFor years we’ve heard of Polylimnio but for some reason or another we never had the chance to visit this fabulous place. Although we’ve been nearby a few times, it was never the right season to stop by it as it was too cool to swim. But finally the right time arrived and and we reached this beautiful spot of Greece. It’s not exaggerated to say that Polilimnio is a tropical paradise, only thirty kilometers from Kalamata!

Vouraikos Gorge Hike

After a long and rainy winter, the hiking season is back! For our first walking tour we visited the gorge of Vouraikos or Voraikos which is located in the north side of Peloponesse, 63 km from Patras and 170 km from Athens. This hike is part of the European path E-4 and it coincides with the track of Odontotos, the railway with the toothed rack rail that connects Diakofto (Diakopto) with Kalavryta.
