On our way to Arles, we come by Les-Baux-de-Provence one of the most visited places by tourists in France equal to Mont Saint-Michel! Seen from afar it is definitely impressive though when you come closer, you start seeing that it is another ghost town / museum. Short walk and then, finally, we arrive at our beloved city.

Glanum and a world famous asylum
We move past Saint Remy de Provence without stopping by since we can’t find a decent parking lot. We finally park in the outskirts of the village, just a few hundred meters away, close to the remains of the ancient Roman mausoleum and to the mental clinic where Van Gogh was hospitalized. We decide to stay for the night and to visit both places in the morning.
Menerbes & Cavaillon
Our longer than expected trip in the Vaucluse area comes to an end. We spent our last days visiting an unexpectedly original museum and then stopping for a while in a town that hasn’t much to offer for an average tourist, not even a parking area for campers, but for those looking for adrenaline it could be a paradise. Finally we discover a stopover with free electric hook-up!
