The two monasteries of Preveli, the recently restored one, Kato Preveli dedicated to St. John the Baptist and Piso Preveli, dedicated to John the apostle, are in my opinion worth seeing, even if only for their architecture and the interesting museum of the second.

Crete: the beaches from Orthi Ammo to Preveli
We follow the coast leaving behind us Frangokastello. We stop to ‘evaluate’ the beaches that we find along the way and in Plakias we also make a brief visit to the campsite. Few kilometers further we find another freedom paradise, Amoudi, before arriving at the parking lot of Preveli, from where the path starts to get to the famous exotic beach among the palm trees.
