The monastery of Agios Prodromos is a place you’ll never visit by chance!
To get there you have to walk for about an hour starting from Stemnitsa, descending into the gorge of the river Lousios, or, as we did, drive 8km on an atrocious road to get to a parking lot just half a kilometer from the monastery and from there continue on foot .

Dimistana and the Water Museum
Dimitsana is a hospitable mountain village of Arcadia, located at approximately1000 meters elevation. Besides being a great base to visit the gorge of the river Lusios and its monasteries, it also has a nice outdoor museum dedicated to the water.
Stemnitsa
Stemnitsa is a small mountain town, about 1000 meters above sea level, considered one of the most beautiful in Arcadia. In Greece it is known for its school of goldsmiths and for the important role it had during the war of independence from the Turks.
