Strategic locations for parking along the tram line that runs along the sea. Glyfàda’s stopovers, are a bit far from the center of Athens, but you are still close to the urban tram line that brings you directly to Syntagma square and you are on the beach. so that you easily visit the capital without renouncing to the sea. Continuing along this road you can easily reach Cape Sounion.

Kallithea marina’s parking
It is somehow isolated and difficult to reach without GPS. But you can easily park a convoy of motor homes of any size and while not a guarded car park itself, there are security cameras and a guard 24/24 near the entrance to the marina. Therefore it’s safe if you park near the entrance.
The tram stop of Tzitzifiès is at a hundred meters and you can choose whether to go to SEF and get the metro (tram 3 or 4) or directly to the central Syntagma Square with tram number 4.

Alimos Marina’s parkings
The first parking lot is on the back of the marinas coffee shop, you’re in the company of the crews of small sailboats berthed at just a few meters. Not recommended for vehicles over 6 meters.

The second car park, is a bit more isolated, but is fine for longer vehicles. The tram stop is Pikrodàfni located at 250 meters. Tram number 3 leads to the metro station of Faliro and number 5 to Athens city center, Syntagma Square.

Glyfada’s stopovers
Diadohou Pavlou Str offers plenty of choice to easily park a few meters from the beach. The road is parallel to lines 3 and 5 of the tram leading to the metro or downtown. If you arrive during the day and intend to stay for the night, watch out for nightclubs that are on the road, they open late and don’t close till the morning! 🙂
