Pelion: The west coast

Lefokastro
pelionThe peninsula of Pelion has the characteristic of combining sea and mountain. For motorhomers parking is definitely easier by the sea and with a little luck, as in our case, you can still easily swim in mid-October.

Kala NeraLa prima spiaggia carina che si incontra è quella di Kalà Nerà, [39.30256,23.12299] that is beautiful waters .
Good stopover point for the night, relatively close to Ano Lechonia for those who want to take the little train of Pelion in the morning.

Afissos
AfissosAfissos [39.26821,23.16648] Spiaggia decente, mare bello, possibilità di parcheggiare praticamente in riva al mare.

LefokastroLefòkastro: Immediately after Afissos on the map, but the road that connects them is not for motorhomes, narrow and with impossible climbs. To get there, better take the road to Argalasti and get down that way. The beach [39.25664,23.17582] is perfect and you can park near the sea. A ‘no camping’ sign reminds us that in high season probably things are not so relaxed.

ArgalastiOn the side the square of Argalasti, from where we continued to Kalamos [39.22348,23.18640] and there we finally decided to stop for the night.
A really quiet place 🙂

Agios NikolaosIn the morning we went to visit the monastery of Agios Nikolaos [39.20749,23.20421]. Nice location, but nothing special … the church is closed and to have it open you have to call the responsible and make an appointment…
