Plytra (or Plitra) is an interesting stop halfway between Gythion and Neapolis. It’s a quiet village, which has as its attraction the submerged remains of the ancient Roman city of Asopos.

Kythira, the inland
The inland part of Kythira is full of surprises. Probably the most impressive of all are the waterfalls near Milopotamos, but there are also a lot of things to see and to visit. One thing’s for sure: there is something interesting for everyone in Kythira! 🙂
Two suggestions for alternative archeology!
The Mycenaean cemetery of Dendron, close to Tiryns and the Pyramid at Ellinikon, close to Argos, are two alternative archaeological sites, with very few visitors, free to entry and quite interesting.
