Three villages south of Modena
Continuing our journey towards north Italy, we stopped at three villages for a quick visit, just a few kilometers away from Modena: Vignola, Castelvetro and Spilamberto. Dozza, art village
Dozza is a small but quite unique village, a few kilometers south of Bologna. Over the last 50 years it hosts the Biennial Exhibition of the Painted wall (Biennale del Muro Dipinto). Internationally renowned artists are invited to create their works using the walls of the village as canvases. Therefore, it was created over the years an open air gallery with more than 200 works. The effect is simply amazing!
