Finally reopened to the public after the damage caused by the earthquake of 1999, although only open two days a week and surrounded by the scaffolding of the restorers who are still working at full speed. Included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Monastery of Daphni is located only 10 kilometers from Athens on the road to Corinth.

Anafiotika is a small neighborhood, very unique, literally leaning against the rock of the Acropolis of Athens, which resembles in all respects an island of the Cyclades. Its name is due to the fact that it was built by workers from the island of Anafi that came to Athens in order to work as constructor workers in the refurbishment of King Othon’s Palace in the middle of 1800.
