Housed in a villa in the heart of Plaka, there is a museum not to be missed by musicians and music lovers, but also by those who are simply curious to learn some details about Greek popular music and the range of musical instruments they use.

The museum of popular instruments is located in Plaka and I consider it a gem of its kind. Entrance is free, layout and lighting impressive and it is possible to listen to music related to exhibited instruments, with headphones placed next to each window.
Closed on Mondays, Wednesdays open from 12:00 to 18:00, 10:00 to 14:00 on all other days.
Inside the courtyard of the museum there is also a store that specializes in popular music and instruments, a very good opportunity to buy some souvenirs or gifts at very fair prices. The address of the museum is Diogenous 1-3, close to the Tower of the Winds of the Roman Agora.
