Here’s another recipe that you can make in you RV using ingredients that are easy to find in any Greek supermarket. To be honest the idea came to me seeing a video of a couple of young American full-timers…

They are the Hipster Gypsies and if you do not know them I suggest you take a look at their website, they are really cute and a source of inspiration for people like me who are planning to become full-timers 🙂 |

In their video Christian makes the dough himself, I have preferred to use the convenient ready pitta bread for souvlaki. You can find them frozen or not frozen. Frozen ones are more awkward to use because in order to make the pizzas, you must first defrost them in a pan. |
For the tomato sauce, I used the grated tomato (trifti tomata), which is found everywhere and has a perfect consistency even raw, better than the classic tomato sauce. Understood that a cooked sauce would be better, but the idea is to do something fast. |
Put the on the pitta bread your favorite ingredients. In my case, tomato, a little salt, feta, capers and oregano. Pizza alla Greca! |
Put on one cooker an aluminium lid, or anything else like that can replace it, which will be used as a ‘grill’. I use an aluminum tray from a long gone cake I had bought. Place the pita in a preheated pan on another burner, add a drizzle of olive oil. |
After about thirty seconds, when the base of the small pizza begins to bake, lower the heat and cover with the ‘grill’. Be careful not to burn yourself when handling the lid, in my case a pair of pliers has become the perfect handle. The grill must not touch the surface of the pizza, but being at a distance of one, two centimeters to melt the cheese. |

In just over a minute you’ll have a yummy pizza…
