Two stopovers suggestions for those traveling on the road Nafplion-Monemvasia. The first, Paralio Astros, for those who need a bit of crowd and nightlife, the second, Sambatiki, a small fishing village for those who prefer peace and quiet.

Paralio Astros (Astros Beach) is a rather famous resort, mainly among Greek vacationers. A huge beach well equipped, with a lot of bars, restaurants and people coming and going. A little like a Greek Rimini, it could be a good choice if you have teenagers on board 😉
There is also a campsite, but for some reason they refused to let us photograph … mah …
You may park along the beach, however, as in most places where there is a campsite nearby, it is full of bans and I imagine that in the summer the local police open the RV hunting season 😉
We avoided the beach and chose to park in the large car park below the castle
[GPS N 37.419169, E 22.764497] from where you can walk to downtown and the beach.
A visit to the castle can be a pleasant walk and offers beautiful views of the sea and surroundings.
Sambatiki on the other hand is a small village near Leonidio, quiet, with a small tavern with tables on the beach where you can sit even just for an ice cream or an ouzo. We stayed overnight in the open space above the dock, well ventilated and with a beautiful view (see photo below). [GPS N 37.191365, E 22.90949]
If you prefer, however, you can also get down the road and park next to the dock.
