About 45 kilometers south of Kalogria, lies the city of Kilini. Known mostly for being the port for ferries to Zakynthos, Kefalonia and Ithaca, it actually has to offer, within a few kilometers, excellent beaches and for fans of the genre, this beautiful castle, built by the Franks around 1220 . The entrance costs 3 € and is open from 8.00 to 15.00, except Mondays. During the summer, it is also used as a natural setting for concerts and events. [N 37.890976, E 21.140788]

The road that goes to the castle from the town is very narrow and the slope of the last stretch is remarkable. Better to leave the RV in the village and walk up or use the scooter.
