For those who do not want to wild camp or prefer the comforts that only a campsite can offer, there are some structures in the Peloponnese that remain open all year round, offering among other things affordable rates. I have visited three of the most indicated by fellow motorhomers who spend the winter in Greece.

I will start with Iria Beach camping [37.49706,22.99016], 23 kilometers south of Nafplion. A bit out of hand, there are no supermarkets nearby, just a couple of mini markets. On the other hand it is home to a beautiful community of winter residents, the bread arrives fresh every morning brought the baker, the owners often offer salads and other vegetables just picked from their garden, wifi is fast enough. The cost for two people plus motorhome starts from 15 € / day all inclusive up to 780 € for the whole winter season, power paid extra with individual meters. At your disposal, coin operated washing machines, showers with hot water, fridge and freezer.
A nice detail, the bathrooms are individual and everything is kept clean and shining 🙂

For Christmas Eve, Colin and Christine cooked and offered a meal for the entire company. A truly international meeting, with great live music! 🙂
Second camping Gythion Bay [36.72984,22.54514] 5 Kilometers west of Gythion. This is definitely the most organized for the winter and in fact motorhomes were more numerous, about twenty, although it seemed to me there was less community atmosphere. Prices for two people and RV start at 15 € / day (including power supply) and get to 290 € / month (excluding power) if staying over 3 months. Wi-fi is fast, there is a nice common room with a small library with books in most languages, yoga and Tai Chi classes at 2 € per person.
Interesting tha camping offers in all seasons the possibility to stop only for camper service at a cost of € 5. The place is quiet, on a beautiful beach and abundant oranges and mandarins trees, which guests can take advantage of with the consent of the owner 😉
At last we visited the camping Finikes [36.80315,21.78095]. Great location on Finikounda beach, it offers more privacy than the others, because each camper has a space protected by natural screens. The cost for the winter starts from 12 € / day including the power supply and drops for longer periods. A Mini market is just opposite the entrance, the village is just two kilometers away and can be reached by walking along the beach.
