A separate post for two museums not to be missed in Colmar. The first is the Musée d’Unterlinden, housed in a Dominican convent, included the list of the most important museums of France. The second is a small museum dedicated to the sculptor Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi, designer of the Statue of Liberty and Lion of Belfort, hosted in his native home.

Nearby are the natural park of Allensbach, beautiful especially for those with young children and the Hermann Hesse Museum in Gaienhofen, the town where he lived with his first wife and their three children were born, beautiful for adults!
