Kastoria is a small and quiet city in northern Greece, built on a peninsula on Lake Orestiada at about 700 meters above sea level. Well-known, unfortunately, for the production of fur, it is definitely worth a visit to appreciate the architecture of the old quarters as DolciĆ², its more than fifty Byzantine churches and not least, the lake with its nature.

In this second post dedicated to Besancon we make a visit to the Citadel (UNESCO monument) and its museums, to the genial astronomical clock, the original Museum of Time and the art museum, although under renovation.

From wines of Alsace to the watches of Besancon. On our way back to Italy we decided to make a stop at Besancon. The city is not particularly famous, popular among the French as the city of watchmakers, in reality it can also boast of being the birthplace of Victor Hugo and the Lumiere Brothers. A good find, do not miss if you are in the area!
