Just outside Parga, on a hill with a strategic view, you can visit the remains of the small castle of Ali Pasha, also known as Castle of Ayia or of Anthoussa. Entry is free and it is better to carry a flashlight to be able to better explore the corridors and the darkest halls.

Geraki Castle
The castle of Geraki, less than 40 kilometers from Sparta, is an archaeological site rarely visited and certainly not one of the most important. Not surprisingly, however, it is called the small Mystras. In addition to the fortified city, there are indeed a number of churches with restored frescoes of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries which are worth a visit if you are already nearby.
Mani Peninsula: The West Coast
Last post on the Mani peninsula, more sea, a visit to Areopoli, the most important city of the peninsula and a couple of stopover points ideal for an overnight stay … ah, there is also a castle! 🙂
