A separate post for two museums not to be missed in Colmar. The first is the Musée d’Unterlinden, housed in a Dominican convent, included the list of the most important museums of France. The second is a small museum dedicated to the sculptor Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi, designer of the Statue of Liberty and Lion of Belfort, hosted in his native home.

Colmar: you’ll never get enough of Alsace
The old town of Colmar is a real gem. Alsatian architecture, a network of waterways that make it even more characteristic, an impressive Gothic church and wine and food at will. In addition Colmar prides itself on being the birthplace of Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, the designer of the Statue of Liberty and the sculptor of the lion of Belfort.
