The Heraion of Perachora sanctuary is one of the rare cases in which sea and archeology come together perfectly. There are not many places where you can go for a swim in the middle of an archaeological site. And to make this destination even more interesting is the fact that just two kilometers away, an open space on the shore of Lake Vouliagmeni, is a perfect stopover for the night.

Ancient Messene (part II)
On the side of the museum, starts the road to the entrance of the archaeological site, or maybe i should call them archaeological excavations.
When we got at the site, we saw more archaeologists than visitors and things did not change much even after a couple of hours when we finished our tour.
Ancient Messene (part I)
Ancient Messene is one of the less known and most underrated large archaeological sites, even by the Greeks. In my opinion, it would be a big mistake to be in the area and not visiting it. Let’s not forget that it is from here that left the Greeks who lived and gave their name to Messina in Sicily!
