I continue with two other archaeological sites, both included the unified ticket and very close to the metro station of Monastiraki. Although they probably are not up to other archaeological sites they are worth a visit.

Archaelogical Athens: Tha ancient Agorà
We arrived to the Agora of Athens, my favorite site and the one I find to be the most photogenic, even compared to the Acropolis. In the Agorà park you can find it all: a temple among the best preserved in Greece, a museum full of statues and other interesting objects, a Byzantine church … a couple of hours go by without realizing it.
Archaelogical Athens: Pnyx & Philopappou
I go on with two other strategic points, which offer the best views of the Acropolis: the hill of Philopappou and the archaeological site of the Pnyx. Both are easily accessible and always open, even if for the Pnyx you need to know a little secret 😉
