It is situated in a beautiful location, with a private beach and clean sea. Prices negotiable and relatively cheap, it also offers the possibility to use only as a camper-stop with no overnight stay. This camping also falls into the category summer camp for adults.
Most, if not all residents are permanent. The caravans give the impression of having put down roots. You can see enormous kitchens complete with refrigerators, sinks, ovens… whatever you can imagine. It can be a good place to spend the holidays, although you have to get along with neighbors, but I do not think it’s a good choice for motorhomers passing by who wants to stop only a night or two.

Camping Zaritsi – Tiros, Arcadia (video)
Bella posizione sul mare, con una bella spiaggia, praticamente privata. Campeggio alla greca, moltissime le tende/caravan fisse tutto l’anno, la maggior parte con varie costruzioni per allargare cucine e altri spazi. Beautiful waterfront location with a beautiful, almost private beach. Greek style camping, with many tents / caravans stationary throughout the year, most with different constructions to enlarge kitchen and other spaces. However, it is quiet, very clean, all the services, with plenty of shade, prices are negotiable and the owner very friendly! For shopping, in addition to the mini market, there is a car passing by daily selling fresh fruit and vegetables.
Negative: except for a basketball court, there are no other facilities for sports and kids.
Laganas: Ghost Town… (video)
This post is a bit off topic, in the sense that Laganas is definitely not a winter destination. I found my self, in this small spot on Zakynthos island, in December and I was fascinated by the ghost town atmosphere of the place. I felt like if I was in the abandoned set of a western movie. Then, after thinking about it for a moment, I realized that it actually really was the abandoned setting of a show, put in place for tourists every year and lasting from June to October.
So, if you ever wondered how the ultra-tourist resort looks like out of season, this is a good example.
