We continue along the lake and arrive at Konstanz, another of our favorite stops on the lake. Nearby are the natural park of Allensbach, beautiful especially for those with young children and the Hermann Hesse Museum in Gaienhofen, the town where he lived with his first wife and their three children were born, beautiful for adults!

Constance is just beautiful, I cannot find other words to describe it. Definitely worth a visit and a long walk in the old town. For the stopover you can use the well-positioned camper stop [47.65755,9.16909] or park along the lake [47.66649,9.18069] as we did and enjoy the amazing view.
On the left the camper stop 1,40 € / hour or 14 € / day. Below the car park along the river, free from 18:00 am to 9:00 am and then € 0.50 / hour or 3 € / day. It takes a little luck to find a place, but the location is unbeatable and more affordable.
Here at the sise, the town hall building of Gaienhofen, 30 miles from Konstanz. Below a sculpture by Peter Lenk (the same of the ‘strange’ sculptures found in Konstanz) and the Museum of Hermann Hesse. Only open Fri / Sat / Sun in winter and every day, except Mondays, in summer. Entrance € 5. It is not that there is much to see, but for fans it is a place of pilgrimage 😉
Only a few kilometers from Constance, about 15, you can instead visit the wildlife and amusement park in Allensbach [47.74304,9.04431] more interesting for children. In general I am opposed to zoos, but this seemed to me to at least respect the animals, they have at their disposal acres of parkland… Entry 9 € / adult, 7 € / children or family ticket € 30 for two adults and two children.
