I have just returned from Thessaloniki, where for ten days I have been following the international documentary festival. An event that for years I do not miss and an opportunity to enjoy the city in spring version combined with an excellent selection of films and other events. This year I also managed to break my previous record and seeing 36 films, one better than the other!

Athens: Museum of Islamic Art
The Benaki Museum of Islamic Art is one of the smaller and lesser-known museums of Athens. Located close to Thission, metro station is of particular interest to better understand the close link between Greece and Asia Minor. In summer the coffee shop on the terrace is a nice place to rest for a moment enjoying the view of the Acropolis and Ceramic archaeological site.

Athens, the flea market
The true essence of Monastiraki can be found in Avissinia square every morning; in the heart of the old neighborhood of the center of Athens, just a few steps from the entrance of the archaeological site of the Agora. A flea market in full-blown, not a bit touristy in spite of the area, where you can find the most disparate objects.
