Taking advantage of my latest visit to Mycenae, I had the chance to have a look at the two campsites close to the archaeological site. Camping Atreus, which was a pleasant surprise and camping Mycenae, unfortunately in the shadow of the competition.
Nafplion is a beautiful city, the capital of Argolis and was also the first capital of Greece, It is definitely worth a stop for a walk in a ‘different’ atmosphere, although for the night is probably best to move to the close by beach of Karathona. Tolo? No Thanks!
The archaeological site of Epidaurus is a must. The theater and the remains of the Sanctuary of Asklepios are at least impressive. The maximum being to be able to attend to a performance of a Greek tragedy in the theater, which is possible and not too expensive during the summer festival.
